MACSBRICK Modular Access Chamber System

The MACSBRICK modular access chamber system is a double-walled, glass fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) chamber designed for underground infrastructure in roads and paved areas.
Its 150 mm high ring elements can be combined to create chambers with free openings from 400 to 1600 mm, allowing flexible sizing for new builds and for construction around existing pipe and cable networks.
High-strength ribbed walls, certified EN 124 D400 covers and a screw-on polymer base plate deliver a robust yet lightweight solution that can be transported and installed without heavy machinery.

Key Benefits

1. Road-ready

performance with 400 kN / EN 124 D400 capability for use in carriageways and heavy-traffic areas.

2. Flexible design

allows building chambers around existing pipe and cable systems, reducing diversion work.

3. Free positioning

of duct and cable entries at user-specified positions and angles simplifies on-site routing.

4. Lightweight modular

elements can be transported and assembled by 1–2 people, reducing equipment and labour costs.

5. Smooth side walls

support reliable soil compaction and stable long-term installation without complex shuttering.

Features

  • Double-walled PP-GF construction with smooth internal and external surfaces for strength and easy handling.
  • Wall thickness approximately 3–4 mm with ribbed structure for high load capacity, no additional support profiles required.
  • Modular ring system, each ring 150 mm high, stackable to required depth.
  • Free chamber opening options from 400 mm to 1600 mm through flexible combination of elements.
  • Individual elements connect at 90° to form a rigid ring; connection pins ensure tight, robust assembly.
  • Screw-on polymer base plate for a fully closed, structural base.
  • Side reinforcement system for elements with lengths over 900 mm for additional stability.
  • Smooth outer side walls for safe and optimal backfill compaction.
  • Chamber cover in cast iron according to EN 124, up to load class D400.
  • Cover frame made of hot-dip galvanised steel with elastomer insert and integrated height adjustment.
  • Standard locking system integrated in the covers.
  • Proposed clear opening sizes (L × W in mm): 410 × 900, 560 × 900, 760 × 1150, 410 × 1400, 560 × 1400.
  • Element sizes (L × W in mm, 150 mm height) in multiple lengths from 50 × 50 up to 1600 × 70 for precise configuration.
  • tepless height adjustment of the cover frame enables accurate final level with surrounding pavement or road surface.
  • Environmentally friendly, recyclable PP-GF material lowers environmental footprint compared to traditional concrete.
  • Robust ring connection and side reinforcement provide long service life and resistance to deformation under traffic loads.
  • Customised identification plates support clear, project-specific chamber labelling.

Certifications/compliance information

  • EN 124 compliant chamber covers across multiple load classes: A15, B125, C250 and D400.
  • D400 load class (400 kN) suitable for heavy-duty road and carriageway applications; lower classes A15, B125 and C250 cover pedestrian, driveway and light-traffic areas.
  • Covers and frames constructed in line with EN 124-6 requirements for polypropylene-based systems and composite access covers.
  • Chamber body manufactured from glass fibre reinforced PP (PP-GF) for structural strength and long-term durability.
  • Produced from recyclable polymer materials, supporting environmental and sustainability objectives.
